Joan Sydney best known for her role as Matron Sloane on A Country Practice is to resume her role as Aunt Valda in Neighbours.
Another Sea change

That may sound like holiday time but in fact work has started on a new mini series for the ABC called Shark Net. It will star Tim Draxi, William Mcinnes, Angie Milliken, Warren Mitchell and Dan Wylie.

Christmas Carol Cop Caroline

Caroline Craig of Blue Heelers shall feature in the Seven network telecast of Carols in te Domain on December 20th 2002.

Favourite characters No longer Away but coming home

Some good news for fans of Cornelia Francis, Rebekah Elmaloguou and Rowena Wallace all of these ladies will be returning to Home and Away.

The Life of Holden

Last week's This Is Your Life featured singer, song writer and actor Mark Holden. Mark worked in Australia as a singer and actor in Soap Opera The Young Doctors before achieving even greater fame in the US writing songs for David Hasseloff and most recently Australian singer Vanessa Amorossi.

Neighbours actors are Princesses and Wizards from OZ

This year a couple of well known Aussie actors will be making the trip to the UK for the annual panto season

Rebecca Ritters of Neighbours and now Coronation Street will, as Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ at Maidstone and Paige Alcock also of Neighbours is to play in Fareham, as Jasmine in Aladdin.

Carol-ing

During the holiday break Caroline Craig will do some singing, not exactly carolling. She sings Burt Bacharach songs and her own songs at Victoria's Albert Park Vicar Restaurant every Sunday afternoon.

Manning the Coast

Channel Nine's new program The Coast will star, in the pilot, actress Tracey Mann.

Stars as teachers

Denise Robert's from Alway's Greener has her own acting school called Screenwise and her staff is made up of some of your favourite stars, among them, Andrew Mcfarlane, Lucy Bell and Tina Bursill.

Ada tackles Shakespeare

Ada Nicodemou is starring in Macbett a Shakesearean spoof. It will be Ada's first time on stage and she will have the support of some former heartbreak high castmates, Salvatore Coco and Michael Piccirilli.

Benevolent Neighbours

This week's Woman's Day (dated April 29) features a cast photo shoot at a magnificent Melbourne mansion. The photo shoot was to help the actor's benevolent fund and the photos turned out so well there may even be a calendar. It also gave the opportunity for us to remind you that Neighbour's 4000th episode will be shown on May 10. Neighbours also celebrates it's 17th year this year.

Always and forever Kylie

Kylie Minogue makes a return to TV by providing the theme song for the new UK soap to be shown on the ABC (Australia). The program is titled Always and Forever and it starts May 7 at 6pm and will air on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dossa 'Anne" Joe

Former Neighbours star Anne Charleston will star in new comedy show Dossa And Joe, alongside Michael Caton (ex- The Sullivans) . Although the show has a Sydney setting Anne plays an Irish women, quite appropriate as Anne actually lives in Ireland! Watch out for the new show this year.
