Where to see soaps stars play over christmas!

Although all your favourite soaps might be taking a long breaek over the christmas season, you may still be able to see some of your favourites in person! at some of the theatre venues. Stinger's Kate Kendall, and Prisoner's Louise Siversen will be starring in Art And Soul, a set of seven short plays at the Victorian Arts Centre until 16 December.

Cop Shop star John McTernan is starring in The Irish,and how they got that way, a play by award winning author Frank McCourt This play may be seen at The Playhouse, Victorian Arts Centre from Saturday 9 December.

Something in the air as soap stars shine at AFI awards

Last nights AFI awards saw success for the ABC with Anne Phelan taking best actress in a TV series. ABC's successful political drama Grass Roots also won several awards including best actor for Geoff Morrell. Chris Hayward was also victorious for his guest winning performance on Stingers.

Australian TV alumini were the toast of the night with Eric Bana and Pia Miranda, both who have starred in TV dramas, taking the top acting awards.

The best film was Looking For Alibrandi.

Cop Shop star Nominated For AFI

Former Cop Shop star Terry Norris has been nominated for an AFI award as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Innocence in which he starred with wife Julia Blake who is also nominated, for Best Actress in the same film. The awards are to be shown on SBS on Saturday night.
   

Simone Comes Home

Simone Robertson, formerly of Ramsey Street (Neighbours), finds a new home in Home and Away for a brief guest appearance.
